Ionic capital and Ionic plinth
woodblock wallpaper designs, printed in three colours, laid onto board, some creasing to the sheets resulting in paint loss
the first example with a letter attached to the reverse dated '5 June 1974' and inscribed 'Dear Robert, These prints were taken in 1938/39 & are in a/sense antiques. Also they seem to be unique because/I can't find any ones, tho' of course at the time/many more were produced./I hope you will have them framed. They should be dry mounted or else, if anything wet touches the surface, paste or gum, the distemper/colour will come off./Best wishes/Edward/Consider the enclosed as being a gift.'
