A Valencia Manises hispano moresque lustre charger
Late 15th or early 16th Century, marked with a W-type motif
The red lustre body partly outlined in blue, the central boss with a bird motif (con pajaros) surrounded by spiralling oblique motifs, further with a band of stylised foliage, the wide border with four blue palmettes alternating with large leaves, the reserve with a kick-in base and further with spindly motifs en suite (pierced with two holes for hanging)
