A FINE SMALL WHITE JADE EWER AND COVER
19TH CENTURY
The bulbous body raised on a waisted pedestal foot and carved with vertical petal-shaped lobes set between narrow bands of ruyi heads, the tall spout issuing from a monster mask and the handle surmounted by a bird's head with long crest that terminates in a small curl at the bottom, the domed cover with further petal lobes below a bud finial, the semi-translucent stone of even tone

Acquired in Hong Kong in the late 1960s-early 1970s.
