Of rectangular section, the sides of the lantern inlaid with glass panels covered in 18th century embroidered silk, within enamel key-fret borders, and reticulated ruyi bands above and below, the flared crown and pedestal foot inlaid with painted glass panels, raised on a separate base with reticulated scroll apron above bat-form feet and later-added squatting boy supports
