A SMALL TURQUOISE-INLAID GILT-BRONZE BEAR-FORM FITTING
HAN DYNASTY (206 BC-AD 220)
Hollow cast in a seated position with fore paws resting on the knees and jaws open in a roar, with fine incised hair markings overall and bits of turquoise inlaid in the eyes, ears and in a fairly symmetrical manner on other parts of the body, with a D-shaped opening in the top of the head and a circular opening in the base
2¾ in. (7 cm.) high, Japanese wood box, wood stand
