The Peak of Eloquence, compilation of hadith attributed to 'Ali, Arabic manuscript on paper, 334ff. as numbered plus 4 fly-leaves, each folio with 12ll. of black naskh, titles in gold outlined in black with coloured interstices, within gold and polychrome rules, pages bordered with gold and black rules, illuminated shamsa, finely illuminated opening bifolio with 5ll. of text on gold hatched cloud bands, catchwords, gold cloud bands and other illuminated margins a later Ottoman addition, colophon wrongly dated Dhu al-Qa'da 652 and signed Nasir al-Hafiz al-Makki, in gilt brown morocco
