A porcelain dish from the Service of the Order of St Vladimir
by the Gardner Porcelain Factory, Moscow, period of Catherine II, 1783-1785
Of round form, formed as a vine leaf with gilt rim, underglazed in various shades of green and pale yellow with visibly painted leaf veins throughout, the centre painted with the star of St Vladimir, enclosed by the ribbon of the Order together with the cross of the Order, pierced border of simulated gilt branches, with foliate handle, marked under base with blue underglaze 'G' and incised circle
