MARK OF SEBASTIAN GARRARD, LONDON, 1939, THE TEAPOT AND STAND 1919
Each piece oblong, the rim and foot engraved with foliage, comprising: a teapot and stand; coffee-pot; hot-water jug, each with carved wood handle and finial; a cream jug and a sugar bowl, each engraved on one side with initials 'MR' below Royal crown, and on the other with the initials 'E' below Royal Duke's coronet, marked near rim or on foot and inside covers
the coffee pot 8 in. (20.2 cm.)
gross weight 74 oz. (2,308 gr.)
The first initials are those of Queen Mary (1867-1953).
The second initials are those of HRH Prince Edward of Kent, now HRH Prince Edward, Duke of Kent. (6)
