A young lady, in black off-the-shoulder velvet dress with white lace trim, lace cap with peach ribbon, decorated with flowers, dark upswept hair
signed 'Meuret' (mid-right)
on ivory
oval, 3¾ in. (97 mm.) high, gilt-metal mount with stamped border
