THIRD QUARTER OF THE 18TH CENTURY
With sharply tapering blade double-edged towards the point, both sides cut with a series of very narrow grooves and lines parallel to the back edge and within an engraved wavy line border, slender wooden hilt finely carved with an interlace pattern studded with silver nails, and engraved silver cap pommel fitted with engraved bud-like finial, in its leather scabbard with pierced silver locket carrying a pair of suspension rings, and by-knife and fork en suite
