According to Harris' letter, all designs had to be sent to Bette Davis in Hollywood for approval, hence the actress' signature being present on both designs.
Julie Harris won an Oscar for her designs for the film 'Darling', 1965 and subsequently designed costumes for the Beatles' films 'Help!' and 'A Hard Day's Night', James Bond movies 'Casino Royale' (1967) and 'Live and Let Die', amongst many others.
