BAUM, Frank, Ozma of Oz, Chicago: The Reilly & Lee Co., 1907, original boards; signed on fly leaf in various inks by cast members of the 1939 M.G.M. film The Wizard of Oz, signatures include: Judy Garland (Dorothy), Bert Lahr (The Lion), Jack Haley (The Tin Man), Ray Bolger (The Scarecrow), Billie Burke (Glinda), Margaret Hamilton (The Wicked Witch) and Clara Blandick (Aunt Em)

Lot Essay

According to the vendor of this lot, his great grandfather was a childhood friend of Cecil Holland who worked as a make-up artist on The Wizard of Oz. During filming, Holland obtained these autographs and passed the book on to his old friend.
