A ROMAN MOSAIC GLASS PATELLA
CIRCA LATE 1ST CENTURY B.C.-1ST CENTURY A.D.
Formed from cane sections, many with a central red or opaque white dot on a purple ground and enclosed within an opaque white band, others of turquoise or emerald green ground with opaque white spirals, all on a purple ground, the carinated exterior with two convex curves, on an applied outsplayed purple ring base
