SYRIO-PALESTINIAN, CIRCA 1ST CENTURY A.D.
Blue in color, mold-blown, the spherical body decorated with a central frieze of vine tendrils, tongues above and below, the cylindrical neck free-blown, the flaring rim folded in, with twin applied dark amber vertical handles
2½ in. (6.4 cm.) high

Acquired in Damascus by the previous owner, a diplomat, 1960s.
