Northeastern India, Pala Period, 10th century
Vishnu standing on a lotus base holding a staff, chakra and conch shell, wearing a short dhoti and multiple necklaces, garland, and other jewelry, the rounded face with a raised urna surmounted by a distinctive headdress, flanked by his Lakshmi and Sarasvati holding a flywhisk and vina respectively, the arched mandorla centered by a kirttimukha mask and two apsaras, with elephants, birds, lions, and further adorative figures, including a Garuda kneeling at the base
