Tibet, circa 1800
Seated upon cushions over a throne, his hands in varada- and dhyanamudras, dressed in diaphanous orange, white, and red robes, his face with benevolent expression surmounted by a lotus cap, an altar of offerings before him and backed by a nimbus and aureola, flanked by two lotus blossoms supporting a book, sword, and ghanta, with a patrons' procession in the foreground and surrounded by various Buddhas, monks and deities
