Gold-lacquer armor with Shimazu family crests

The armor laced in bright orange and decorated with gilt-metal Shimazu family crests and comprising an iron sixty-two plate suji-bachi with a four-stage gilt and shakudo chrysanthemum tehen-kanamono, the five-lame neck guard finished with a wide fukigaeshi applied with stencilled doe skin and trimmed with fukurin, mabi-sashi decorated to match, mounted with gilt-metal kuwagata-dai pierced with foliate scroll, gilt-metal kuwagata and a gold-lacquer dragon maedate; the cuirass a ni-mai do with gilt-metal hardware and fitted with seven sections of five-lame tassets, the lowest lame trimmed in boar's fur; chu-sode decorated with gilt-metal hardware and applied with stencilled doe skin on the kanmuri-ita; tsutsu gote, kawara haidate; tsutsu suneate; wood storage box
