A PALE-GREYISH WHITE AND BROWN JADE ARCHAISTIC POURING VESSEL
MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
Of rectangular section, raised on a pedestal foot, carved with a taotie mask and flanges on each side and birds below the rim, the handle issuing from a dragon mask; together with a mottled grey opaque jade carving of two addorsed dragons, their bodies entwined, with flat base
4 5/8 and 5½ in. (11.7 and 14 cm.) long, wood stand (2)
