The approx. knot count is 9.5 x 9.5 per sq. cm.

A slightly smaller Koum Kapi rug with the same basic design, but with a single medallion instead of the four seen here, set within the same border and guard stripes, was sold in these Rooms 19 April 1979, lot 61.
