Rectangular with rounded corners, spot-hammered throughout, the hinged cover applied with an Imperial double-headed eagle, with cabochon sapphire thumb-piece, in the original blue leather box gilt-stamped on the cover with the Imperial double-headed eagle and 'A.D. IVANOFF IN ST. PETERSBURG' in Russian and French to the interior, marked inside cover and base
