A MYCENAEAN POTTERY STIRRUP JAR
CIRCA 14TH-12TH CENTURY B.C.
The compressed globular body with twin strap handles flanking the false spout, the true spout off-set, painted in dark brown with radiating arcs on the shoulder, and fine and broad bands around the body, 3 in. (7.5 cm.) high; another stirrup jar decorated in dark red with chevrons on the shoulder, 3½ in. (9 cm.) high; and another decorated in dark red with encircling bands, 3 in. (7.5 cm.) high, both 14th-12th Century B.C. (3)
