A MYCENAEAN POTTERY SPOUTED JUG
CIRCA 14TH-12TH CENTURY B.C.
The globular body with high strap handle, cylindrical spout emerging from the shoulder, decorated in orange with vertical lines, 3¾ in. (9.5 cm.) high; a Mycenaean pottery jug, handle attached at rim and shoulder, decorated in brown with horizontal lines, 2¾ in. (7 cm.) high; and another similar Mycenaean pottery jug decorated in orange with double band of wavy lines, 2¼ in. (5.7 cm.) high, both circa 14th-12th Century B.C. (3)
Provenance
European private collection; acquired in the late 19th Century by the grandfather of the present owner.
