Rectangular with shaped upper section, the outside applied with an angel surrounded by stylized scrolling foliage, the hinged doors opening to reveal a panel enameled with the Mother of God holding the Christ Child, with a panel depicting St Alexander Nevsky on the left and St. Nicholas on the right, surmounted by an openwork cross, in a fitted wood case with a strut, marked on bottom edge, interior, exterior, and reverse
