A MEISSEN SHAPED-OVAL TWO-HANDLED TUREEN, COVER AND STAND
CIRCA 1765, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS AND DOT MARKS, IMPRESSED H TO STAND
Moulded with the Dulong pattern, with panels enclosing blue bouquets flanked by vignettes of specimen birds, the tureen with rococo-scroll, asparagus and cauliflower handles, the domed cover with a putto finial holding a cornucopia issuing fruit and flowers, the stand with a large central vignette of a macaw and two other birds perched on branches, the cover and stand with gilt line borders (areas of wear to stand, minute chipping and losses to fruit and flowers)
The stand 17½ in. (44.5 cm.) wide
