With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present clock in 1974 and its subsequent sale on May 9th of the same year.

Patek Philippe produced the reference 1215 from 1972 until approximately 1987. The first series were produced with the caliber RH29, which was later replaced in 1974 with the caliber 33QZ. The reference 1215 differs from the reference 1200 by having no glass and features a hack setting system for more precise timing.
