Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with Breguet numerals in 1998 and its subsequent sale on November 11th of the same year. Further accompanied by a Patek Philippe wooden presentation box and outer packaging.

The reference 5041 sits as the rarest of all perpetual calendar watches of Patek Philippe's modern production. Manufactured from 1995 to 2003, this model appears identical to the reference 5040 except for its enlarged, flat bezel. The 5041 was exclusively made in white gold with a black dial and Breguet numerals. Although the exact production numbers are not known, it is thought that a total of only 30 to 50 examples were made.

Reference 5041 is illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by O. Patrizzi, vol. II, plate 1203, p. 292.
