CIRCA 1752-55
The exterior of one painted with an exotic bird in flight with flowering prunus and tied bamboo, the rim with alternating yellow and iron-red flowerheads, the interior with a long-tailed exotic bird, the other with bamboo before stylised rockwork and branches of flowering prunus, the rim with blue scrolls, green leaves and iron-red and yellow flowerheads, the interior with two phoenix (small rim chip)

Provenance
Probably acquired by either Georgiana, 1st Countess Spencer or Frederick, 4th Earl Spencer, either for Spencer House, London or Althorp, Northamptonshire, and thence by descent.
