Provenance
Probably acquired by John Poyntz, 5th Earl Spencer (1835-1910) or Charles Robert, 6th Earl Spencer (1857-1922) for the Dining Room at Althorp, Northamptonshire.
Thence by descent to Albert, 7th Earl Spencer (1892-1975) at Spencer House, London, where they are recorded in the Great Room in 1926 and by descent thereafter at Althorp.
