A cloisonné-enamel vase with cover
Late Meiji Period (circa 1900), signed on base on square plaque Kyoto Namikawa [Workshop of Namikawa Yasuyuki, 1845-1927]
Of ovoid form, decorated in various colored enamels and silver wire with birds and butterflies amongst blooming flowers against a Prussian-blue ground, the domed cover surmounted by a silvered-metal chrysanthemum-form finial, mounts silver and with fitted wood stand

Wood box inscribed on verso of lid Kotaigogu, Kyoto yori kangyo ni tsuki, Tsuneyoshi-o denka ni tamawaru (Bestowed upon His Imperial Highness Prince Tsuneyoshi [Takeda no Miya Tsuneyoshi-o, 1909-1992] by the Empress Dowager) and dated 1913.10.12; also inscribed on the exterior Shippo tsubo-gata ontanakazari, dai tsuki, nanohana ni kotori moyo (A decorative enamel jar and stand with rape blossom and small-bird design)
