A gray schist figure of Buddha
Gandhara, 2nd/3rd century
Seated in dhyanasana on a throne covered with drapery and a footstool in front, his right hand raised in abhayamudra and his left holding his robe, his face with wide almond-shaped eyes and raised urna surmounted by wavy hair pulled back over the ushnisha, his head backed by a halo with a dentillated border
