CENTRAL IRAN, CIRCA 1200
Of rounded form rising from short vertical foot, the white interior painted in a variety of overglaze enamels and gold with an elegant arcade before which is depicted a procession including a figure seated cross-legged upon a camel flanked by attendants, one of whom holds the leash to a monkey dressed in hat and clothes, two confronted griffins above the arcade, some losses to the enamel
7¼in. (18.2cm.) diam.
