Of typical form with curving single-edged watered steel blade slightly flaring at the point and becoming double-edged, the blade with ladder of the Prophet motif and two gutters, decorated with gold damascened floral motifs, an inscribed gold medallion at the forte, two cartouches with the signature reading 'amal Mihr Yusuf ..., the hilt with straight cross-guard, with gold inscriptions reading ya rahman, ya karim on each side, with walrus ivory grips, with sword knot, the original leather sheath with two suspension loops similarly decorated
