A SPANISH RENAISSANCE PARCEL-GILT EWER
Saragossa, circa 1600
On raised circular moulded foot, the plain body chased with a band of ovolo and pellets on matted ground within ribbing, the spout with a winged grotesque mask terminating at the base in a further mask within an escutcheon, with reeded rims and angular rising scroll handle, engraved beneath the base with a housemark (presumably an ownership mark), marked on base
20.5 cm. (8 1/8 in.) high
