A Silver-Gilt and Cloisonné Enamel Tea Caddy and Sugar Box
Mark of Ivan Saltykov, Moscow, circa 1890
Each rectangular with domed cover, the body and cover applied with raised ropework and cloisonné enamelled with pink shaded flowerheads and vari-coloured scrolling foliage on two sides and with vari-coloured dragons on the others, the translucent blue reeded borders containing friezes of stylised flowers enamelled in blue, red and white, on burnished stippled ground, the tea caddy with independent silver-gilt mounted stopper and independent baluster cover similarly enamelled, marked under bases, inside sugar box and on tea caddy cover
