A Set of Twelve Porcelain Plates
By the Kornilov Factory, St Petersburg, circa 1903
Circular, with gilt rims, the borders decorated with woodland scenes depicting bears, wolves, cottages and wooden churches, after a design by I. Bilibin (1878-1942), together with a covered two-handled bowl decorated en suite, marked on reverse with printed factory mark, printed inscription 'Made in Russia by Kornilow Bros.' and the number '44'
