Contemporary vellum, covers with gilt pentaglyph and metope roll border on a blue wash background, upper cover painted under the vellum in color showing a full coat-of-arms and initials "A.C," the lower cover with a drawing under the vellum showing a young woman holding an orb and palm frond, smooth spine gilt-lettered on a blue wash background and decorated with gilt ornaments, pink watered silk linings, edges gilt concealing a CONTEMPORARY FORE-EDGE PAINTING OF WILTON HOUSE NEWAR SALISBURY (slight loss to the blue wash); modern folding case.
