Finely enamelled to the exterior with two main cartouches enclosing birds perched on flowering branches and two further smaller cartouches with butterflies amongst chrsyanthemums, all on a dense yellow ground decorated with scrolling lotus heads and leafy tendrils interspersed by bat motifs, the interior enamelled turquoise and the base enamelled white
