A JAPANESE TWO-PANEL LACQUER SCREEN
Sealed, Meiji Period (late 19th century)
The carved and lacquered wood frame with two inset panels decorated in red and black togidashi-e with blossoming cherry branches, each with a central oval inlaid in ivory, stained ivory and mother-of-pearl with chickens and birds amongst wisteria and other flowers, the lower section with cranes in flight
Each panel - 72 in. (183 cm.) high; 36 in. (91 cm.) wide
