This graphic coat-of-arms, showing three wolves passant, is accompanied by the Lovett wolf crest on a plate Howard illustrates (op. cit., vol. I, p. 340), where the author notes that the porcelain could have been ordered by one of several Lovett branches, and also reports that that there were two Lovett armorial mugs in the famous 1923 sale of the Crisp collection.
