Epais fer de hache effilé de forme caractéristique frappé sur un côté de plusieurs marques d'arsenal dont les initiales 'VL' ainsi qu'une série de points et cercles, douille à pans, manche en bois postérieur ; on y joint une petite hache XVIIIème/XIXème siècle à courte prise de main.

With stout tapering axe-blade of characteristic form (the lower portion removed) struck on one side with several maker's marks involving the initials 'VL' and a series of dots and circles, faceted socket, and later wooden handle (head heavily corroded); together with a small hand-axe, 18th 19th century, on short wooden haft.
