ATTRIBUTED TO EVANS, HANDSWORTH, BIRMINGHAM. RETAILED BY HESELTON, BRIDLINGTON. CIRCA 1865
DIAL: engraved and silvered chapter ring with skeletonised centre, blued steel hands MOVEMENT: pierced triple plates, the main plates joined by eight double-screwed pillars, triple chain fusees, train wheels with six crossings, anchor escapement, striking the quarters on a nest of eight bells and the hours on gong, the front plate with applied plaques signed 'G. HESELTON/BRIDLINGTON'; replaced twin mercury jar pendulum, winding key; later walnut plinth and glazed shade
23¾ in. (60.5 cm.) high, excluding shade; 18¼ in. (46.5 cm.) wide; 11 in. (28 cm.) deep
