A Large Blue and White Porcelain Jar
Joseon dynasty (19th century)
Of ovoid form rising from the slightly tapered foot to the raised and extended neck, painted in light and darker washes, lines and dots of underglaze cobalt blue with a single striding four-clawed dragon chasing a flaming pearl among large spiralling clouds and shorter scalloped clouds within cloud and line borders at the neck and above the foot, the jar also applied by a clear overglaze
