THREE WHITE-GLAZED LOBED VESSELS
SONG DYNASTY (960-1279)
Comprising a jar and cover, the jar with deep, crisply lobed sides rising to a canted shoulder, covered inside and out with a clear glaze falling in an irregular line on the small, slightly spreading foot to expose the white ware, the cover similarly glazed; a bottle vase with lobed ovoid body and a triple grooved band at the base of the tall neck that flares towards the rim, covered inside and out with a clear glaze over a white slip that falls in an irregular line to the foot exposing the fine whitish ware; and a lobed jar tapering towards the shallow ring foot, covered inside and out with a clear glaze over a white slip, with white slip covering the base, foot and area just above the foot
