A GREEN-GLAZED INCISED 'DRAGON' DISH
ZHENGDE SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE WITHIN A DOUBLE CIRCLE AND OF THE PERIOD (1506-1521)
With rounded sides raised on a slightly tapering ring foot, the interior incised with a five-clawed scaly dragon leaping amidst clouds and the exterior with two further racing dragons, all under a jade-green glaze within green line borders, the dragons on the exterior reserved on a ground of incised waves
7 1/8 in. (18 cm.) diam.
