SONG/EARLY MING DYNASTY, 10TH-14TH CENTURY
Each deeply carved as a celestial female attendant shown in flight, wearing a long skirt and billowing scarf, with a bangle at the wrist, the hair parted in the middle and gathered in loops at the shoulders, one holding a censer, the other holding what may be the stem of a lotus, the face of each carved as if seen from a different angle, the granular stone of somewhat pinkish color, traces of pigment
29 and 27½ in. (73.7 and 69.8 cm.) long, granite stands (2)
