Comprising the 2nd juz', Arabic manuscript on buff paper, 25ff. plus 2 fly-leaves, each folio with 7ll. of black naskh, gold and polychrome roundels marking the end of each verse, text panels within gold and polychrome rules, marginal medallions in gold and polychrome, opening folio with gold and polychrome illuminated headpiece, some staining mainly affecting the margins, in original Safavid brown morocco with flap with large panel of stamped and tooled gilded decoration, similarly worked calligrpahic borders, doublures with elegant gilded decoupé arabesque medallion and spandrels over coloured panels
Text panel 5 1/8 x 3 7/8in. (13 x 9.7cm.); folio 9¾ x 6 5/8in. (23.9 x 17cm.)
