Arabic manuscript on paper, 242ff., each folio with 17ll. of calligraphy composed of three lines of alternating large gold and blue thuluth alternated with two panels each of 7ll. of smaller neat black naskh, these panels bordered with bands gold and polychrome meandering vine, verse roundels in gold and polychrome, text panels within gold and polychrome rules, sura headings in gold on light blue ground within panels of gold and polychrome illumination or in white on gold ground, gold and polychrome marginal medallions, 'ashr, hizb, and juz' marked in the margins in gold thuluth, opening bifolio with dense gold and polychrome illumination surrounding 5ll. of text on panels of alternating light blue and gold, preceding folio with shamsa, third bifolio also heavily illuminated, two further similarly illuminated bifolios within the text, colophon bifolio with gold illumination in the margins, followed by a prayer with text on alternating gold or blue panels, some folios with waqf inscriptions in the margins, first and final folio backed, in original gold stamped binding, doublures with similar gold stamped panels and central medallion and borders in elegant decoupé on blue ground
