SIGNED ZAINI, BUKHARA, 16TH CENTURY
Gouache heightened with gold on paper, a man wearing blue and gold robes and a richly adorned turban and a woman in gold-embroidered red robes and equally ornate headdress, sit within an arch, their arms lovingly entwined around each other, before them a blanket set with a bowls of fruit and a gold wine flask, the spandrels above with gold and polychrome floral illumination, small signature beneath the man's feet, laid down between gold and polychrome rules on wide gold-speckled borders, the reverse with a panel of diwani calligraphy and an old trade label
