OTTOMAN TURKEY, DATED AH 1098/1686-87 AD
A tract on the conversion of the lunar into the solar year, Arabic manuscript on paper, 44ff. plus two fly-leaves, the compilation comprising a number of different texts in black and coloured naskh arranged in text blocks or tables, occasional catchwords, diagrams highlighted in gold throughout, one later diagram with a revolving dial applied to its centre, occasional marginal notes, a number of colophons giving dates between AH 1094 and 1098, some staining, a few later added pages, some marginal repairs, in later marbled card binding with card paper doublures
