Lot 111 level: upper shoulder; lightly corroded capsule, slightly depressed cork, damp stained label
Lot 112 level: upper shoulder; château and vintage embossed lead capsule with château branding visible on cork below capsule, slight signs of old seepage, very lightly bin soiled label
Five notes, from a tannin-laden magnum in 1967; 'huge', 'velvety', 'suede textured' through the 1970's, 'Magnificent but not Médoc' in 1983-which shows my old school bias! A good, powerful bottle at John Jenkins' Bordeaux Club dinner in 1993. More recently, less deep in color, more mature, more evolved-yet, despite its richness, still tannic.
